"Thank you for helping me build my business." -Scott Miller
Automotive Care You Can Trust
A new business with a lot of potential
When Scott left a local car dealership, he knew the road to success was uphill. His new shop was less than a half-mile away, and off the main road. He had decades of experience, certifications, and a commitment to doing honest work at a decent price under his belt, though.
Scott first hired me to build a website for Bulldog Automotive. He not only wanted to focus on the services his business would provide, but to educate customers on how to take care of their vehicle.
This vision boiled over into his Facebook page, which I managed for three years. I visited his business daily, taking photos and videos of the work he was doing, then writing copy for the website and Facebook page.
An old-school business owner, Scott also needed print material, including flyers, banners, magnets, stickers, etc. I designed and managed each of these project.
Scott was able to move to a new location within a year of opening. His two-bay workspace turned into a four-bay shop, bringing on two employees to help manage all aspects of the business.
When Bulldog Automotive was recognized as Small Business of the Year by the Mahomet Chamber of Commerce, Scott texted, thanking me for helping him build his business.
Website
Bulldog Automotive’s website design was a fusion of strategic visual storytelling and user-focused functionality. The foundation of the design process began with an intentional strategy to portray a professional automotive repair shop while also highlighting the myriad services offered by Scott Miller. Visitors were able to take away a clear understanding of who Scott is and how the organization could serve them. In addition, the website took an educative approach, empowering vehicle owners with insightful tips and guidance on maintaining their vehicles.
Market Research
Through detailed market research for Bulldog Automotive, I identified optimal strategies to connect with potential customers. My analysis revealed the nuances of our target demographic, leading to more tailored marketing approaches. I advised Scott Miller on the advantages of niche marketing over a broader reach in Mahomet. Together, we crafted a focused strategy targeting a specific consumer segment for greater impact.
Content Development
My initial unfamiliarity with the automotive repair industry drove me to undertake exhaustive research. I immersed myself in understanding customer pain points, common automotive issues, and their corresponding solutions. Additionally, I delved into preventive measures and best practices in vehicle maintenance. This in-depth learning equipped me to produce content that was not only informative but also deeply resonant with Bulldog Automotive’s clientele.
Social Media
I dedicated myself to capturing the essence of Bulldog Automotive through daily photography and videography, specifically tailored for Facebook content. Beyond visual media, I crafted bespoke graphics for both regular posts and advertising campaigns on the platform. My commitment extended to the analytical side, where I consistently monitored post performance, ad metrics, and user engagement. This comprehensive approach ensured that our Facebook presence was both visually captivating and data-driven, optimizing our reach and impact.
Community Engagement
Scott’s deep-rooted connection to Mahomet underscored the importance of community engagement in our brand strategy. Recognizing this, I collaborated with the local high school, facilitating opportunities for Scott to educate teenagers about essential car care, intertwining community service with brand presence. Our participation in local parades, distributing custom memorabilia, not only amplified our brand visibility but also cemented our position as community champions. Furthermore, by spotlighting local businesses, we fostered collaborative ties, reinforcing Bulldog Automotive’s commitment to local growth and mutual support.
