Our Vision is You
Time to Expand
Dr. Erik Burgwald saw an opportunity in the small town of Mahomet, Illinois. The growing town had hairstylists and dentists, doctors and restaurants, but was missing an optometrist. With a successful practice in Champaign, Erik expanded his operations, renovating an office on Main Street.
Even with visibility in a growing part of town, Erik realized that Mahomet residents did not notice his signage. He needed something more.
Erik began by advertising with the news publication I own, the Mahomet Daily. He then asked me to help with a new website, social media, and community involvement plans. Working alongside Dr. Burgwald’s team, the Mahomet community quickly became aware of the new office, and now his practice is thriving in Mahomet.
Brand Development
Purchasing a business is never easy, especially when every aspect of the business needs to be rebranded. Faith Swartzendruber has had a vision for Simply Well Chiropractic for years, but bringing that vision to fruition has come with heartache and a few mountains.
Throughout 2023 we started from scratch, rebuilding and restricting everything from the walls within the office to fee structure and messaging. Built upon the core values of health, wellness, and community we have built a brand that conveys trust, compassion, and a commitment to individualized care.
Ad Placement and Design
As part of an active community focused on children, I managed Burgwald Eye Center’s ad campaigns, including print and digital. We ran Facebook ads, targeting the audience, then worked with local organizations, such as Chambanamoms and Soccer Planet to reach moms, who generally make the eye care decisions for their families. Leveraging my creative skills, I designed materials that not only informed but also engaged the audience with story, but also built Burgwald Eye Center’s reputation as a trusted provider of vision care.
Community Involvement
Leveraging the Burgwald Eye Center location, we had several community events that highlighted the personality of the office. During a local music festival and Christmas event, we welcomed the community into the office for an ice cream social and hot chocolate. As a new business, this gave the community access to the office, and our staff.
We participated in parades, throwing out t-shirts I designed to the crowd. Of course, everyone loves a t-shirt, and having community members wear the shirts around town gave the business new eyes throughout the year.
But our biggest event involved bringing dozens of business to downtown Mahomet were we hosted Trunk-or-Treat. Perhaps people didn’t realize Burgwald Eye Center was the organizer, but we took photos of all of the costumes and held a contest. This grew the Facebook page exponentially.
