Story is the hero.

Learning How to Be the Yoda

Doing all you were meant to do

I have been described as the stepping stone. I’ve been known to get people from point A to B so that they take off.

Cheryl Mitchell, a woman who has the strength to pull a semi-truck down the interstate, spent most of her professional life in an elementary classroom. Like everything Cheryl does, she excelled, but she knew there was something more she had to offer.

Cheryl and I spent many hours together at the very beginning stages of, “how do I make this work?” We sorted through her ambitions and talents, identifying her foundation and audience.

While her vision settled, I developed a website, helped her set up a podcast and taught her about vlogs.

At the beginning of Cheryl’s new career, those small steps and vision have taken her into keynote speaker roles today.

Target Audience

Cheryl Mitchell certainly has something to teach everyone. But, narrowing that target audience down was a process that took in-depth market research and analysis.

We began by targeting motivational speakers that resonated with Cheryl, then gained clarity on who her potential audiences could be. By understanding the demographic she wanted to reach, we were able to craft visuals that resonated alongside brand strategies that helped her build a portfolio worth notice.

Learning New Tools

The digital world was unfamiliar to Cheryl when we first began.

I spent time helping her understand the multitude of tools she could use for her personal brand, how to leverage each one, and where to find her target audience.

Through this, Cheryl had the freedom to distribute her content in new and exciting ways.

Understanding Story

Many business owners don’t understand the role or power of story in their day-to-day operations.

Oftentimes, they want to lure a new customer or client with a discount or believe everyone should want their service. But when products and services are put into a story, magic happens.

Cheryl had many stories to tell, but her real strength was using her story to encourage, motivate, and expand. Much of the time we spent together included talks about meeting audiences in a place of need. Cheryl’s origin story is powerful, but when she puts her story into a conversion story, she brings out the best in everyone around her.
